A new political party, the National Citizens Party (NCP), formed by the coordination of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens Committee, is set to be officially launched tomorrow, Friday.
The party will formally launch at 3:00 PM on Friday at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital, Dhaka. This is the party that led the people's uprising.
For the launch event, one of the prominent leaders of the organization, Abdul Hannan Masud, has sent an invitation letter to the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Dr. Yunus.
Masud shared this information in a Facebook post, writing, "I have sent the invitation letter for the launch event of the new political party after 2024 and asked for blessings."
The new political party, named National Citizens Party (NCP), is finalizing its leadership. It is reported that Nahid Islam will hold the position of the party's convener, and Akhtar Hossain will be the general secretary.
Additionally, Nasiruddin Patwari will be the chief coordinator, Samantha Sharmin will be the senior joint convener, Hasnat Abdullah will be the chief organizer for the southern region, Sarjish Alam will be the chief organizer for the northern region, Abdul Hannan Masud will serve as joint coordinator, and Saleh Uddin Sifat will take on the role of the office secretary, as per media reports.
